Internship: I have joined the Cloud Media Systems research team at Netflix as a Computer Visoin research scientist in Summer 2018. I have continued my internship during Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 with the same team. The focus of my research is to solve problems with novel machine learning and computer vision algorithms to be applied in Netflix products.
I'm a PhD candidate at the Center for Research in Computer Vision (CRCV) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) working under the supervision of Dr. Ulas Bagci. My research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning and computer vision. Previously, I got my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering form Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Where, I was a member of Real-Time lab and I was fortunate to work with Prof. Heidar Ali Talebi. I have been involved in many academic activities: Serving as session chair at IEEE EMBC conference, committee member of ACM's ETRA conference, Invited Teaching Assistant at The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) 2019 summer school and reviewer for many journals and conferences (Medical Image Analysis Journal, Medical Physics Journal, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, PLOS ONE Journal, MICCAI, EMBC, IEEE Inter-national Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI), etc.).
